The former international GM and head of learning and development at a national network has indicated sales as what he enjoys most about the real estate industry.

The Agency has welcomed the former head of learning and development Australia at McGrath, and previous GM of Ray White New Zealand, into its Queensland team ranks, bringing with him more than 25 years of industry experience.

Having run his own consultancy business for a number of years, it’s a full-circle career move for the agent, who previously worked as a sales agent with The Agency Queensland general manager David Price in the early 2000s.

From Mr Pitman’s perspective, real estate “is 80 per cent attitude and 20 per cent skill”.

Speaking on his own passion for sales, the agent said “there is nothing like that feeling of seeing the look on your clients’ face when you sell their home for an amazing price”.

“To me, success is earning the trust and respect of my clients by doing my absolute best for them,” he continued.

Mr Pitman is joined in his move to The Agency by wife Katrina Pitman, who has been alongside him in his sales career and joins the network in the capacity of an agent support partner.

According to The Agency, the Bulimba-born agent sells a range of properties across the Brisbane suburb, from waterfront prestige listings in the $10 million–$15 million price range to $350,000 units to investors.

Mr Pitman said many of his buyers, including high-net-worth expats returning to Australia with their families, are looking for lifestyle homes in the area with enough space for separate home offices and large living spaces.

“Having worked across Australia and New Zealand for many years, I’ve formed international connections and networks with many agents and agencies, which have allowed me to facilitate the best deals for my clients,” he noted.
