Rise 2022 Speakers 2

Tickets to the Rise2022 Conference in Melbourne on Tuesday May 24 are now on sale with speakers representing the diversity of industry experiences.

Powerful, articulate and passionate women lead the Rise 2022 conference lineup representing a diversity of experiences across real estate and property management.

Joining keynote speakers youth advocate Jules Allen and Channel 7 journalist Jacqueline Felgate is a stellar line up of women whose voices challenge the stereotype that great agents are only about million dollar listings, fast cars and no socks.

Speakers include one of Australia's most successful agents Carla Fetter from Jellis Craig who sold $179m in property in 2021 during lockdown, Holly Longmuir from RT Edgar Mornington Peninsula who is one of the country's few independent female principals and property management hero Rachael Harrett from Century21 Gympie.

They are joined by Maria Findikakis from EView, Leanne Pilkington from Laing & Simmons, Sarah Bell from AIRE, Kate Strickland from Marshall White, Antonia Mercorella from REIQ and Sadhana Smiles from REIP and many, many more.

The founder of the Rise Initiative, Chris Hanley, said the conference was proud to have such a diverse program of speakers who would all share their personal stories.

“We're delighted to be featuring such a diverse mix of women and men at Rise, reflecting a range of voices and experiences of real estate and property management that are inspiring, fresh, connected and at times heartbreaking,” Chris said.

“All speakers will be sharing wisdom and personal experiences that were turning points in their lives and careers and led them on to greater success demonstrating the links between wellness, emotional intelligence and top performance.”

It’s been a roller-coaster year with a surging property market, anxiety about Covid-19, the stress of lockdowns, floods, home schooling, working from home and never ending Zooms.

Chris said that more than ever, real estate teams need a break - some time out to learn about new perspectives and reflect on what is important to them.

“Everything feels up in the air in the world at the moment and it’s taking its toll on our people,” said Chris, whose own team has been significantly affected by the floods in northern NSW.

“We’ve designed the Rise conference program as a mental wellness reset and I’d like to encourage every principal to bring their people along - everyone from property managers to admins and BDMs. The ticket price has been set to make that affordable, and every speaker is sharing a story we can all relate to.”

The Rise Initiative - which has won two major awards for its work on the Real Care app - is Australia's fastest growing real estate event that focuses on mental wellness and peak performance.

Keynote speakers at the Rise Conference 2022 include:

  • Socceroo Craig Foster
  • Youth advocate Jules Allen
  • Entrepreneur Mark Bouris
  • Channel 7 journalist Jacqueline Felgate and
  • Human rights lawyer Jahan Kalantar

In addition there will be 20 plus of the industry's top performers who also proudly wear the title of "good humans" including Nathan Casserly, Dan White, Phil Harris, Piers van Hamburg, Shane Hicks, Kate Holt, Adrian Butera, Sunil Kumar, Lisette Schults-Rand, and James Labiris.

Chris said Rise is unlike any other real estate or property management conference.

“We focus on bold and honest conversations about what success really looks like in real estate, the competing juggle of work and family commitments, resilience, overcoming challenges and practical examples of how the industry’s top performers have overcome their greatest emotional and mental challenges,” he said.

“So if you or your team feel like you need to recharge with a boost of positive energy, we encourage you to book your seats now.”

Rise2022 will be held at MCEC in Melbourne on Tuesday May 24.
