Sotheby’s International Realty has added a Whitsundays and Hamilton Island local to the team.

Lynn Milsom joins the network as senior sales executive, primarily servicing Hamilton Island, the greater Whitsundays and mainland region. Ms Milsom boosts the agency with her extensive background in luxury home sales and property acquisitions gained throughout spells working in the Byron Bay region and alongside one of the Gold Coast’s top prestige property agents.

“Sotheby’s has a presence unlike any other brand,” she said. “The brand has such a legacy, and the opportunity to connect my profile with the brand is a privilege.”

She added her excitement to expand her business profile beyond Hamilton Island onto the mainland Whitsundays, where the market is “still strong, and having a property listed over the Christmas holiday period is advantageous”.

“We see a significant increase in population due to holiday-makers, and they often become passive real estate buyers,” she said.

Ms Milsom explained that despite reports of prices declining across Australia’s capital cities, the Whitsundays has largely been resilient to this trend as “the great migration north has not ceased, and while the interstate interest continues, we will continue to make record sales”.

“I’m passionate about people and property. I feel incredibly fortunate that I get to help my clients find their little slice of Whitsunday paradise,” she said.

Ms Milsom has been praised for her “compassionate ambience, resourceful networking, track record for her service extending beyond the sale, and ultimately for her fierce devotion to not only meeting expectations but exceeding them every time”, as well as gaining acclaim for her proficient marketing and communication skills.

Sotheby’s commended her for her client empowering “unbiased market insights and landscape knowledge” as well as her “strong negotiating skills and reputation for treating every client like family”.

Speaking on Ms Milsom’s arrival at the outfit, Sotheby’s Queensland chief executive officer Paul Arthur said: “As Lynn turns a new chapter in her career, we’re deeply honoured that she chose Queensland Sotheby’s as the vehicle to take her burgeoning real estate business to the next level. Her results these past few years are nothing short of amazing, and she now has the ability to tap the national and international network of Sotheby’s — further enhancing her ability to provide a world-class experience to her clients.”

He concluded the network is “deeply committed to the region, and bringing a talent like Lynn to [its] existing team places [it] in an enviable position”.
