Continuing its nationwide expansion momentum, the ASX-listed network has planted its flag in Central Queensland’s “regional powerhouse”.

The Agency Group Australia has launched a new outfit in Rockhampton, to be led by Todd Brandon — furthering its strategy to grow its national network across the country by “bringing together the top-performing agents from across the country who have demonstrated success in their local area”.

Mr Brandon, who has 15 years of experience servicing the local area, said his alignment with The Agency is the endgame in his search for a “right partner” that will help him “take his services to the next level”.

Particularly, he cited the network’s unique structure, which allowed them to “be part of a national network at the local level”.

“By joining The Agency, [it] means we can further our reach and operate across the entire region. Clients can buy or sell their homes, or have us take care of their investment property, from anywhere within the region, or anywhere across Australia, for that matter.

“I’m excited by this opportunity to provide our clients with the same outstanding customer service, yet with the added benefits of having all of their property needs met, in any location, across Australia, all under the one national, premium brand,” he added.

With the Rockhampton office launch, The Agency has now grown across six states and territories in six years.

The Agency chief executive Geoff Lucas stated that the push into Rockhampton along with Capricorn Coast’s market was not only to further its goal of creating a national stronghold but also to “raise the stakes in the beef capital and surrounding areas”.

“Our northernmost move into Rockhampton and the Capricorn Coast means our east coast network strengthens from the Beef Capital down to The Apple Isle in Tasmania.

“It’s our objective to have a stronger local presence not only in our capital cities, but also in our regional powerhouses, to better service our clients at the local and national level,” he said.

The strong net migration into the Sunshine State capital in the last two years — a trend that is forecast to continue — was also credited for the latest expansion.

“Since the pandemic, we have seen interest in Queensland accelerate at a rate that has never been seen before with people from Victoria and New South Wales looking for lifestyle change opportunities or to be closer to friends and family,” Mr Lucas said.

Mr Lucas also cited that the Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton Region’s estimated gross regional product (GRP) of $7.07 billion in 2020 to 2021, which represents an annual increase of 3.8 per cent, was also a motivating factor.

“The Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton’s thriving economy feed well into our network that already services the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Toowoomba. Rockhampton was the next logical step for The Agency, and we were excited when the opportunity arose to enter the marketplace,” Mr Lucas said.

Having achieved $126 million in listings in 2022 already, the unit will bring across 10 sales agents and support staff to The Agency’s ranks, which includes top agents Wes Smuts, Adam Cook, Anna McPherson, Katrina Schneider, and Damion Ramsay and their teams.

“We know that with the decades of local knowledge and experience between them, this team of leading real estate professionals will take The Agency to even greater heights,” Mr Lucas stated.

Advance Rockhampton executive manager Greg Bowden lauded the investment made by The Agency and believes having this national brand’s foray into the local market further demonstrates Rockhampton’s economic position and market strength.

“It continues to prove that regional Queensland and especially Central Queensland has the capacity to be one of the main economic drivers for Australia’s economy. Rockhampton is certainly on the country’s radar and is positioned well to continue making its mark as an economic heavyweight,” said Mr Bowden.
