The ASX-listed network has revealed Craig Caughlan is joining the team’s Gold Coast outfit.

According to a statement from The Agency Group Australia, Mr Caughlan’s appointment will “continue its charge and growth in the Gold Coast and Queensland market”.

Mr Caughlan shared that he was drawn to the national operational structure on offer — and the unique opportunity to work with his former mentor, Matt Lahood, who is The Agency’s real estate chief executive.

“My first three years in real estate were under the guidance of Matt Lahood, and now some 12 years after starting my career, I welcome the opportunity to show how far I have come,” he shared.

“I am passionate about the Gold Coast market and relish the chance to help support The Agency’s ambitious plans for the state and for the brand nationally.”

According to Mr Lahood, the newest recruit is “an important addition to the team”.

Reflecting on the “love affair” Australians have with the Gold Coast region, the CEO called Mr Caughlan “the right person to capitalise on the growth that we are seeing in the market”.

“Having established himself on the Gold Coast some seven years ago after a successful start in real estate in Sydney, he understands the dynamics of why the market is so attractive to those from interstate and for locals alike,” he commented.

Continuing his praise of the agent, he listed off Mr Caughlan as “driven, competitive and honest”.

“Craig has a huge care factor among colleagues and clients and aims to deliver outstanding results at every turn,” Mr Lahood said.

The Agency has reported that Mr Caughlan’s focus will be on properties in Runaway Bay, Paradise Point, Hollywell, Coombabah and Biggera Waters.

He’s also set to “play a dynamic role” in the business’ growth, highlighting that “the Gold Coast market has seen generous growth since the beginning of the pandemic, and the demographic attracted to the area continues to evolve”.

“It’s a unique market, and despite considerable headwinds, it continues to flourish due to location, lifestyle and luxury opportunity,” Mr Caughlan said.
