As a second-generation agent, Ben Stephens is no stranger to running a real estate business. Now, he plans to further his own legacy by building a new agency on Gold Coast-Tweed.

Mr Stephens has a long-running history with the real estate industry, with him growing up observing his father working in the industry while his mum managed a Coolangatta agency.

Not straying far from the family business, Mr Stephens started in the real estate industry almost two decades ago. Notably, he added the establishment of a highly regarded brand as a feather under his own cap.

But he’s not stopping there. On 23 January, he unveiled the opening of Stephens Estate Agents — a new boutique brand launched in partnership with the Agents’Agency that will service the southern Gold Coast and northern NSW property markets.

Despite already carving out his own corner in the real estate industry, Ms Stephens shared that real estate continues to be his true calling.

Over the years, Mr Stephens stated that he’d taken time out from the industry to travel and even spent a year sourcing locations for movie sets. But he professed that he couldn’t resist the allure of an industry that “runs deep in his veins”.

“Australia has an incredible appetite for real estate,” he explained.

“I just love the thrill of working with people and helping them achieve the best possible result for their property.”

He takes pride in building a reputation as an agent known for his down-to-earth advice, superb market insight and personalised approach.

The seasoned agent credited his strong relationship with his clients to his working ethos focusing on helping them achieve their property dreams and goals and not just viewing listings as mere transactions.

“I like to position myself in my client’s shoes. For me, it’s not about high volume but people and relationships. I enjoy offering honest advice and getting the type of results that can change people’s lives,” he stated.

Now with two young children, Mr Stephens said starting a new business in partnership with a national network was “an easy choice” given his longstanding business relationship with Agents’Agency founders Manos and Maria Findikakis.

“[I’ve] been down the road of going into business before, so I understand how important it is to partner with the right people,” he concluded.

Mr Stephens shared that his newest venture has hit the ground running”, with three properties already listed and another three set to come to market within the following week.

Looking forward, he said he wants to offer the type of personalised real estate service that people rave about and recommend to their friends.

“And best of all, I get to do it in a region I know, love, and have the good fortune to call home,” he concluded.
