In a bid to provide high-performance education to its team, DiJones has engaged one of Australia’s most successful sporting organisations, the Sydney Kings.

Earlier this week, the network spent the day with the players and staff of reigning National Basketball League champions, the Sydney Kings, as well as one-time NBA champion Andrew Bogut, as part of the network’s wellness commitment.

DiJones’ chief executive officer, Dean Mackie, revealed the event provided lessons to network employees on “how to work better as a team, how to build resilience by bouncing back from setbacks, and the importance of being consistent with the one per centers.”

Despite conceding that “these sorts of things might seem ‘non-real estate’,” Mr Mackie assured that the event represents the brand’s placement of wellness at the top of its 2023 agenda by “help[ing] the team become better in all parts of their life, including their professional one.”

He added that “it also builds trust, relationships, teamwork, collaboration, and lots of things that make up the DiJones brand.”

Mr Mackie explained the brand is combining multiple elements as part of the network’s wellness and health program, adding, “All the initiatives we unlock are for our people and their families.”

He declared that DiJones “don’t look at our staff in isolation.” Adding the brand’s emphasis on wellness throughout the year aligns with research suggesting individuals who prioritise all facets of their health tend to perform better in both their professional and personal lives.

“By focusing on wellbeing, our team is more productive, creative, collaborative, and efficient in the way they approach their work and their life.” Mr Mackie expressed his belief that this business approach “creates better outcomes, higher morale, and a better overall culture.”

Having successfully placed wellness at the forefront of the brand’s activities in 2022, the chief executive said the network “decided that not only should our programs continue into 2023, but that we should ramp up our wellbeing and high-performance focus.”

This was done not only to “further advance our team’s individual success” but also to “create a more positive and supportive work environment.”

Outside of the recent outing with the back-to-back NBL champions, DiJones has also partnered with several wellbeing and performance experts, including Benny Button, a platform that provides “driven wellbeing learning and development experiences” to a raft of organisations, to support the network’s team in reaching the next level of performance.
