Atlas adds top-tier Sydney sales team to lower North Shore roster

Atlas Lower North Shore is fortifying its ranks with the addition of an “elite” sales team that has already established Sydney as their stomping ground.

Scott Thornton, who has over two decades of experience operating in the local market, has been welcomed as a business partner of the recently launched outfit led by Michael Coombs and Peter Kakos.

The partnership also sees Mr Thornton’s team, which includes his wife and team manager, Jade Thornton, and sales specialist Oscar Lewis, also operating under the LJ Hooker Group’s boutique brand which made its foray into the franchising space at the end of 2022.

While the high-achieving sales team had several feathers in its cap prior to the move — including overseeing the sale of some of Sydney’s most prized homes in the Lower North Shore area and notching record sales figures — Mr Thornton cited the switch to the Atlas brand as motivated by an alignment in values.

“We are thrilled to be joining forces with such a respected and innovative brand such as Atlas that reflects our same values of integrity, professionalism and customer-focused service,” Mr Thornton said.

The seasoned agent further divulged that in addition to the partnership presenting an “exciting opportunity”, the “timing was right” for the team’s move, as it allows them “to have access to better resources, support, and marketing tools to better serve our clients”.

While he acknowledged that “making a move like this is never easy”, he is optimistic that the shift “will see us take our business on the Lower North Shore to a whole new level”.

Mr Kakos lauded Mr Thornton’s addition to the outfit’s roster, highlighting that the seasoned agent has “developed one of the most respected teams on the Lower North Shore and has an intimate knowledge of the market”.

Nick Georges, head of network for Atlas, echoed Mr Kakos’ statement, noting that Mr Thornton “brings a high calibre of service and will add further exposure to the Atlas network across Sydney”.
