A husband-and-wife team have embarked on the latest change in their long journey with real estate by joining up with a new brand.

Greg and Sally Hynes began their property profession in Tasmania, working in the Launceston area, before moving to the Gold Coast and building a specialty in the Queensland beachside hotspot.

Now, they have moved on from a long affiliation with another network to join Harcourts, rebranding their operation as Harcourts Inspire, based in Oxenford.

On the event of the transition, the duo reflected on how far they’ve come in the years since deciding to make the Gold Coast their home.

“We took a rent roll of zero and built it to today’s approximately 560 properties,” said Mr Hynes.

The hardworking couple also built a large team of well over a dozen agents with a vast range of experience between them.

“Over the years we’ve also helped some newer agents become leaders in their field. Many agents within the office have been in the top 10 salespeople in their region on more than one occasion,” said Mr Hynes.

Of course, they’ve also weathered their share of challenges, and are proud of the longevity of their business.

“Being in the same area for 17 years, with a reputation for honesty, in our core suburb, and being successful for such a long time, especially during COVID – that’s a success story in itself!” Mr Hynes commented.

They’re looking forward to bringing a refreshed presence to their local area, which is known for its proximity to the city’s theme parks, and includes local features that draw on the appeal of those tourist attractions.

The neighbourhood of Studio Village, in the south of Oxenford, for example, finds inspiration from movie world in both the name of the subdivision and its streets, which bear monikers, such as Cinema Street, Monroe Court, Paramount Place, and Western Way.

Mitch Peereboom, CEO of Harcourts Queensland, commented on the Hynes’ commitment to their community and his trust that this partnership will be a successful one.

“It is with great pleasure that we welcome Greg, Sally, and their entire team to the group to continue growing their successful operation. They are a dedicated team of real estate professionals who are incredibly well-established in the community, and their move to Harcourts strengthens our position in the market,” Mr Peereboom said.

“We are all energised by this partnership and look forward to our future together,” he added.
