A real estate office in Perth’s north has received a rebrand as Raine & Horne Landsdale under the new ownership of a dedicated resident.

In relaunching the agency that she took over from its previous owners, Shabina Yakub said she was looking forward to being her own boss again, having had the experience before her foray into real estate.

Ms Yakub, who has a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, previously operated a number of natural health businesses, but has been quickly working her way up the ladder since embarking on a career in real estate five years ago.

She expressed her excitement at reaching this milestone, and being able to operate as a business leader in the industry that she feels matches her skill set.

“I love being my own boss, am very visionary, and enjoy taking the necessary steps to grow a business,” Ms Yakub said.

“Even when I was running my natural health business, people asked me about the real estate market as they knew I followed it very closely,” she added.

It was going through the process of buying a family home in Landsdale seven years ago that prompted her to consider moving in that direction for her job.

She’s quick to espouse the benefits of the area, speaking as both an agent and a local.

Landsdale is a suburb with a great family feel, and when you take the dog for a walk, someone always says hello. Its family-friendly and a great place to open an office.”

Located in Perth’s north in the Wanneroo region, the suburb has seen house prices grow by 6 per cent over the last 12 months, speaking to its strong popularity even in the face of flagging prices on a national level.

“Landsdale’s popularity is linked to its location. Property owners are just 15 minutes by car to the Swan Valley and the wineries, 15 minutes to the coast or the airport and many major shopping centres in Perth,” Ms Yakub said.

“There is a lot of development going on in this area with new schools and high schools popping up to support the families moving here, and I’m confident that quality properties will continue to enjoy decent and consistent growth,” she added.

Philip Grove, network manager WA at Raine & Horne, commented that the new office would fill in a strategic link in the West Australian capital.

“This development allows Raine & Horne to extend its sales and property management services to property owners in the northern suburbs of Perth,” Mr Grove said.
