LJ Hooker Southern Residential is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a total transformation of its headquarters in South Lake, WA.

Principal Victor Paz said that launching the outfit with a new look is the perfect way to mark 20 years with LJ Hooker, as it allows them to envision a bright future with a growing team and increased market share.

The outfit is currently working on the ambitious goal of doubling its rent roll, according to Mr Paz.

“We feel very excited for the next chapter of the business. And by redesigning our headquarters, we can make it happen by accommodating more people and better utilising the space,” he said.

Reflecting over the two decades he’s been aligned with LJ Hooker, Mr Paz said that it has provided him with a lot of stability and opportunity for growth.

He noted that though they’ve been around for a long time, people shouldn’t assume they are stuck in their ways.

The two things remain important for him today: “We continue evolving and growing our markets,” he said.

Mr Paz’s ability to embrace change was one of the aspects that LJ Hooker’s general manager of network, Stephen Mutton, spoke about when expressing why Mr Paz and his outfit were such an important part of the brand.

“It is a testament to Victor’s character that he continues to invest back into the business and his staff,” Mr Mutton said.

“We are very fortunate to have Victor as part of the LJ Hooker Group. He has made outstanding contributions to both his local community and also to our network.”

Since opening in 2003, Mr Paz has taken over the ownership and operation of five local real estate agencies. He also opened outposts in Shelley and Cockburn, eventually dubbing the group, LJ Hooker Southern Residential.

In discussing the ways in which the team looks to equip itself for the future in their office redesign, Kristy Clymo, the group’s head of operations, said they focus on fostering collaboration.

“The staff love being able to come into work each day in a fresh and modern space – they especially enjoy the new break room and new training facilities,” Ms Clymo said.

“It has enhanced collaboration in the office and our culture as we can all hear, see each other and share ideas. Our new soundproof phone booth is also perfect for those confidential conversations with clients.”
