Adelaide’s newest real estate office won’t just help vendors sell houses, it will also help them build their future wealth.

Finance expert Scott Matthews isn’t the first person youd think would start a real estate agency.

Having started out his career as a police officer with South Australia Police, Mr Matthews soon transitioned into the mortgage broking sector, where he spent 20 years helping home buyers arrange finance for property purchases.

In his latest endeavour, Mr Matthews has pioneered a brand-new company that combines both finance services and real estate: Harcourts Matthews.

“We believe that Harcourts is the premium brand in real estate – in fact, we did not look elsewhere,” recalled Mr Matthews.

He joined Harcourts with a vision to integrate the two professions of real estate and finance into a single asset management business that helps clients with wealth creation.

Mr Matthews is strongly convinced that the combination of finance and real estate services is “a perfect fit”.

“We can offer our clients a full service to best manage their property and surpass their goals in sales,” he explained.

Having already built up an experienced finance team at his company Bernie Lewis Home Loans, Mr Matthews has now taken a team of trusted property professionals on board for the new outfit.

“Our sales agents and property management team have all long worked in this area and our mortgage brokers have helped so many families buy their first and next homes,” he stated.

“Harcourts Matthews are privileged to oversee the sales and management of the homes in our area and will do so with respect and service excellence.”

Harcourts Matthews is located on Greenhill Road, a stone’s throw from the south end of the Adelaide Park Lands, and encompasses some of the city’s finest blue-chip suburbs. Heritage-steeped homes jostle side by side with contemporary properties in an architectural melting pot.

“The area is rich in history and dotted with trendy cafés, and features some of Adelaide’s finest boutique shopping districts such as Unley Metro, all conveniently located on the fringe of our beautiful city,” Mr Matthews outlined, before detailing that the high-end nature of the local market makes it an ideal fit for Harcourts Matthews.

From his point of view, “the maturity and high wealth market will suit our experience and long community standing perfectly”.

“We don’t just assist our clients to sell, we also assist and advise them to buy and expand on wealth creation for a secure financial future,” Mr Matthews concluded.
