The period after a major acquisition can raise some unique challenges, but a strong team identity has helped a Mornington Peninsula office thrive post-merger.

Three months ago, Buxton Mornington Peninsula joined forces with local institution Crowder Community Real Estate, and welcomed a new Mount Eliza office under the leadership of Holly Longmuir.

Looking back on the recent quarter, Ms Longmuir revealed that the key to ensuring a smooth transition is building a strong sense of unity between team members.

“We are three months in, and we haven’t looked back,” Ms Longmuir stated.

She shared that she is “so proud of the transition, the progress we’ve made, and how our team rode the wave and aligned itself within the new group”.

Joining two teams can often raise challenges, but Ms Longmuir believes that the support of her leadership team and a strong sense of togetherness help all the new team members settle in seamlessly.

“Integrating our new Mount Eliza office has been incredible in so many ways, it’s culturally a wonderful fit,” Ms Longmuir said. “They have become an expansion of us, and us of them.”

Key to this successful expansion is a willingness for the existing Buxton team to “align itself with the new group”.

Ms Longmuir shared that the agency’s success is “heavily influenced by a renewed sense of purpose, determination, collaboration and allowing ourselves to be vulnerable”.

In addition to building a strong working relationship, Buxton Mornington Peninsula also brings in a sense of unity with the help of new branding.

The new look, characterised by its black and white aesthetics, has “not only revitalised the visual identity but has also become a symbol of unity and excellence for the new offices”, the agency reported.

Buxton Mornington Peninsula revealed that both the branding shift and the influx of new team members have been enthusiastically welcomed by the team’s client base.

The agency reported that it achieved a record-breaking number of listings in its first quarter as a newly unified team, a surge which Buxton Mornington Peninsula puts down to its team’s “market expertise and dedication to client success”.

“We are so proud of the transition and the progress we’ve made,” said Ms Longmuir.

She added that the success of the merger is not just measured in numbers, but also in the happiness of the Buxton Mornington Peninsula team.

Looking forward, the agency is keen to continue onwards with a “unit front, a strong brand identity, and a commitment to excellence guiding its journey”.
