A Carindale office gets ready to welcome a brand new owner and principal.

After 25 years in operation, Raine & Horne Carindale will see founders and co-owners Mark and Alicia Fluhart hand the reins over to Lanny Hur.

Hur brings with her 15 years of experience in the property development sector, and shared that she is excited to “inject new energy and vision” into the south-east Brisbane real estate market.

“My background is in property development, where I was involved in sales and the rental management of new properties,” Hur said.

“With over 15 years of experience in various business ventures, my extensive background in property positions me well to lead Raine & Horne Carindale into a new era.”

Mark and Alicia Fluhart, who first founded the agency in 1999, will continue as principals of Raine & Horne Onsite Sales.

According to Hur, the decision to join an existing network was driven by a range of strategic factors.

“Before making this decision, we conducted thorough research,” she said.

“As a new principal, joining the group is as simple as taking a step. We do not need to create new systems or marketing materials from scratch. Everything is readily available, waiting for us to access and utilise.”

Looking forward, Hur stated she plans on ambitious expansion for the team.

“We’re actively looking for sales agents to join our team and plan to have a team of eight to 10 sales agents within the next six to 12 months,” Hur said.

“Additionally, we aim to strengthen our property management business with two to three property managers joining within the next year.”

As well as being an up-and-coming area of south Brisbane for families, Carindale is a suburb with a personal connection to Hur.

“I used to live in Carindale, and my familiarity with the area, coupled with its immense potential […] made it the ideal choice for our business,” she said.

Carindale is located just 10 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD, and hosts a number of amenities, including a Westfield shopping centre and several hospitals.

“Carindale is a unique pocket with high demand due to its excellent schools such as Citipointe Christian College, Belmont State School and Mansfield State High School,” Hur said.

“It’s a family-friendly area, and the real estate market here is consistently promising for growing families and older downsizers who want to be close to their grandchildren.”
