Christian Chaplin joins The Agency as general manager of sales in Queensland with more than three decades of experience across sales and management.

Calling him a “specialist in building high performance teams”, the brand has high hopes for Chaplin’s future leading its agents in Queensland.

The Agency CEO of real estate, Matt Lahood, said that he felt assured of Chaplin’s ability to “meet and perhaps even exceed growth trajectory targets in the Queensland market, all while providing the support necessary to our growing teams, due to his very strong leadership skills and approach”.

Most recently of RealtyAssist, Chaplin is credited with growing that business significantly in both Western Australia and Queensland.

Chaplin, meanwhile, explained that he was drawn to the role at The Agency because of the network’s approach to pushing forward with its expansion plans.

“The Agency has no boundaries when it comes to growth,” Chaplin said.

He commented that much of its success in branching out into new areas was down to its strategic approach to adding new people and teams.

“Ensuring we are attracting the right calibre of person both professionally and ethically is of paramount importance to myself and The Agency,” Chaplin.

“Those with hunger, desire and positive demeanour are at the very essence of the company’s vision. Let’s not discount a sense of humour either. We are creating something a little bit different over here and the right values are of paramount importance,” he added.

The new GM of sales seems keen to hit the ground running in the Sunshine State.

“I can’t wait to bring my skill set of recruiting, retaining and inspiring people to The Agency where we can continue to attract the real estate industry’s high achievers in Queensland or draw out those looking for a lifestyle change to the Sunshine State,” Chaplin said.

His appointment comes on the heels of several new offices for The Agency in Queensland, with the opening of offices on the Gold Coast in Kirra and Surfers Paradise as well as the Sunshine Coast. The brand boasts a Queensland head office in Brisbane, as well as hubs in Toowoomba and Rockhampton.
