Longstanding LJ Hooker principal Craig Gillard has expanded his ownership within the LJ Hooker group by announcing the opening of Caboolture | Morayfield, a new office situated in Brisbane’s Moreton Bay council area.
Having sold real estate across Queensland since 2000, Gillard has opened his third LJ Hooker office, adding to his established agencies at Cairns Beaches and Bribie Island.
Gillard said that the Caboolture, Morayfield and Bribie Island communities have been closely connected within the Moreton Bay Council area, with the expansion benefiting local sellers and landlords.
“A lot of people who live in Bribie have retired here from Caboolture, Morayfield and surrounding suburbs,” Gillard said.
He said that, despite being an hour’s drive apart, there has been a consistent connection between the two communities, both of which have a strong demand for family-friendly housing.
“A lot holidayed here when they were younger and have made the move later in life.”
Recent data from CoreLogic indicated that median house prices in Caboolture and Morayfield have increased to $710,000 over the last 12 months, with a 17.5 per cent and 14.4 per cent rise, respectively, outperforming the Brisbane market.
Both suburbs benefit from local train stations and recent government initiatives to implement 50¢ fares across all travel zones, particularly supporting those travelling to Brisbane for work, helping them save thousands of dollars annually.
“I’m very excited about the immediate future of the area,” Gillard said.
“The addition of Caboolture | Morayfield presents further opportunities for our investors as well.”
Head of network for LJ Hooker, Chris Keating, welcomed the expansion of LJ Hooker Cabooluture | Morayfield.
“Craig is a highly respected business leader within LJ Hooker and we’re thrilled he’s made the move into Caboolture | Morayfield,” Keating said.
“His sellers will benefit from exposure to a greater number of buyers, and landlords in the area will appreciate the leading property management service that is a hallmark of his businesses.”
