With over 26 years of real estate experience, the Real Estate Institute of Victoria’s new chief operating officer will bring a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the role.
The Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV) announced that Megan Mander has been internally promoted to the role of chief operating officer, after previously serving as general manager of operations.
Mander brings an array of industry insights and previous background in leadership to the role, which she gained over her 26 years of experience in the real estate industry.
During her time at the REIV, Mander has been an active member, serving on its board from 2021 to 2024, and as vice president in 2022.
She also served as the REIV’s general manager of operations, and previously assumed the position of interim CEO from January to May 2024.
Beyond her institute experience, Mander has held several senior leadership positions at agencies such as Savills Australia, Gorman Commercial and Little Real Estate, and previously founded her own agency, Urbane Commercial.
REIV president Sam Hatzistamatis said that Mander’s industry insights and diverse professional history would make her an “invaluable asset to the REIV” as she steps into the role of COO.
“Her leadership will be instrumental as we continue to advance our strategic objectives and support our members,” Hatzistamatis concluded.
The new appointment comes after the REIV’s previous CEO Kelly Ryan resigned from her position last week, resulting in current president Jacob Caine stepping in as interim CEO until a permanent replacement is found.
