BresicWhitney has acquired The Woollahra Group (TWG) in a move to boost its position as Sydney’s leading property group, with a prominent eastern suburbs agent joining the organisation.
The acquisition delivers on BresicWhitney’s vision for a focused geographical expansion, adding to other eastern suburbs including Woollahra, Paddington, Potts Point, Elizabeth Bay, Bellevue Hill and Bondi.
The purchase will also further sales volumes with the network forecasting more than $3 billion annually, as its management portfolio is expected to exceed 5,000 properties.
A number of employees across sales and property management will be joining the rebranded office, including renowned agent and former TWG principal and founder Randall Kemp, who will be a shareholder in BresicWhitney.
Kemp brings an extensive 23-year track record, including luxury properties such as the renowned Woollahra “Orama” residence and John Singleton’s “Bonython” commercial property.
BresicWhitney chief executive officer, Thomas McGlynn, deemed the acquisition a “milestone” in the organisation’s 20-year history, highlighting its “long-term vision as Sydney’s leading property group”.
“It’s a move that represents the coming together of two like-minded, high-performing businesses,” McGlynn said.
“It strengthens the unique BresicWhitney points of difference, expands our capability and market leadership, and drives forward key ambitions that have, and continue to, underpin our strategic vision.”
McGlynn said Kemp’s experience will be an excellent asset for the network following his and his team’s successes in the last 17 years.
“TWG’s track record and strong community connections are testament to their values and ambition – qualities that we also share at BresicWhitney,” he said.
Kemp said joining BresicWhitney will allow him to thrive and build on the organisation’s legacy.
“This is a new beginning. One that’s grounded in respect for our past and what I have had the fortune of building, but with a clear vision for the future, that delivers more opportunity for us all,” Kemp said.
“In many ways, the move reflects what matters most to us: excellence in all that we do, positive results for our clients and our communities, a desirable brand, and a great team that knows the power of collaboration.
“On behalf of the team, we’re delighted to formally be part of BresicWhitney, and further its legacy and expansion across the lifestyle markets.”
The transition is set to be completed by July 2025.
