Harcourts Queensland has announced a new head of its auctions division, with the appointment expected to assist the company in its commitment to excellence.

Harcourts Queensland has unveiled Kobe Rae as its new auction growth manager, commending his outstanding track record, passion for innovation, and commitment to excellence in real estate.

Rae’s experience includes his former role as the sales manager and head auctioneer at Harcourts Connections and, prior to that, at Harcourts Greater Springfield.

Rae has been consistently recognised for his excellence in the industry, including being crowned the 2024 Real Estate Institute of Queensland Novice Auctioneer of the Year.

Most recently, he received the title of National Auctioneer of the Year at the 2025 Harcourts International Awards, an achievement he described as a “huge honour”.

“From where I started to where I am now has been a journey of growth, guidance, and commitment. There is no way this would be possible without the incredible people that I am so grateful to have in my corner,” he said.

Harcourts said Rae’s upbringing as a Royal Australian Air Force child, which required him to live across multiple Australian states, means he brings an adaptable approach to the role and an ability to customise his clients’ experiences.

Rae has also gained a deep understanding of local market trends and neighbourhoods by living in Ipswich, South-East Queensland, for the past 16 years.

When it comes to his personal values, Harcourts said Rae believes in fostering relationships and giving back to the community.

“When he’s not leading outstanding auctions or helping clients, you can find him enjoying a game of golf or playing pool with friends,” the company said.

Harcourts Queensland CEO, Andrew Friebe, praised Rae, stating he reflected all the values the company stands for.

“His innate ability to connect with people and his expertise in the auction space are unmatched,” Friebe said.

“His passion and drive make him a true leader for our auctioneer community and the greater real estate industry,” he added.

Speaking on his new role, Rae said he was determined to make an impact in the industry and go beyond the boundaries to serve clients.

“An auction doesn’t merely sell a home; it provides a tailored stage to connect people with their future homes,” he said.

“My goal is to set a new benchmark for how auctions elevate the real estate experience for clients.”
