Investors are not deterred by the current rising interest rate environment, a new study has found.

According to ING Investment Management’s quarterly Investor Dashboard Sentiment Index, Australian investor sentiment was up 124 per cent in the last 12 months, highlighting the rapid improvement in economic and financial conditions.

More than 80 per cent of the Australians surveyed believed their economic situation has improved, and the early prognosis for 2010 looks rosy, with more than 70 per cent of Australians expecting the economy to improve over the next three months.
