Sydneysiders are opting for the open spaces and playgrounds in the western suburbs over the posh lifestyle of the east.
According to data compiled by realestate.com.au, suburbs in the north and south west topped the state as the best places to live.
A report in the Daily Telegraph found that the western suburbs of Kings Langley, Glenmore Park and Hoxton Park were clear winners for families with walking tracks, parks, playgrounds and neighbours who would take in forgotten bins.
Mr Vardar, who grew up in Villawood, Bankstown told the daily that as soon as he settled down with a new family he wanted to move out west.
"Once you have a family your priorities change. It's not about being close to work anymore, it's having schools and playgrounds that matters.''
