A new LJ Hooker sales agent will specialise in family-friendly suburbs in Brisbane’s south-east, working alongside a colleague from her previous network.

Sales agent Melinda Lee-Ball has joined LJ Hooker Shailer Park, bringing more than 20 years of experience, most recently as Belle Property Cornubia’s selling principal and co-owner.

Lee-Ball will be working under principal Neil Cowan, specialising in listings and residential sales across popular family-friendly areas.

The network’s head of network Australia, Chris Keating, said that Lee-Ball was a skilled agent known for her attention to detail and passion for helping clients.

“Attracting top talent reflects the network’s clear vision, strong values and commitment to excellence,” he said.

“Neil has made a strategic recruitment that will not only be an asset to his business but also the brand.”

Lee-Ball said she was ready to focus on the sales side of business once again and believed the LJ Hooker branding would help bolster her career.

“It was an easy decision for me that if I was going to change brands, it was important to go somewhere with a good work culture that also reflected my own values,” she said.

Additionally, Lee-Ball said she had known Cowan for a long time and that they shared a similar approach to business and commitment to collaboration.

Lee-Ball has also been joined by co-agent, Luisa Sargent, who transferred from Belle Property.

The pair, who have worked together since 2020, will focus on the areas of Shalier Park, Tanah Merah, Loganholme, and surrounding suburbs.

Cowan said that Lee-Ball and Sargent will be assets to the Shailer Park office, bringing solid experience, a proven track record and a genuine commitment to delivering results.

Lee-Ball said she found the network’s training to be supportive and thorough, particularly the guidance on the latest technology and systems.

“It can be a matter of time and cost, so it is very attractive that there is no additional charge for coaching.”

“In this industry, it is easy to put your personal development and training second, so I am looking forward to this being a focus in 2026,” she concluded.
