This year, Married at First Sight features another real estate agent whose ambition clashes with her polarising groom, sparking early controversy as the show’s experiment continues.

As Married at First Sight (MAFS) entered its next phase of the experiment by introducing the intruders wedding this week, the show saw another real estate agent looking for love.

Stephanie Marshall, a 32-year-old real estate agent at Harcourts Property Centre Wellington Point, has joined the experiment, paired with controversial “anti-woke” groom Tyson Gordon.

She is the second real estate agent to join the experiment after Daniel Hewitt.

With over a decade of experience in real estate, Marshall has made a name for herself in the Redlands Coast area, totalling a five-star rating across 172 reviews on RateMyAgent.

According to the data, Marshall sold 26 properties over the past 12 months as both a lead and a secondary agent, with a median sale price of $920,000 and a highest-priced sale of $1.87 million.

On Instagram, Marshall revealed to the GetAhead jobs app that she earned approximately $680,000 last year.

Marshall described herself as a hustler who knows her worth and thrives on routine, constantly seeking self-improvement, career growth, and the fulfilment of her envisioned life.

While Marshall built her career, her drive seemed to clash with her TV husband, Tyson Gordon.

Similar to Marshall, former soldier Gordon, 30, now also works in property as an investor who buys, flips, and sells properties.

Gordon, who had previously been married to a Mormon woman from Utah, had been looking for a disciplined and submissive partner while allowing him to be the couple’s provider and protector.

The pair tied the knot on Monday’s episode after Tyson, sparking controversy with vows rejecting a “woke” partner and questioning Marshall’s career ambition and “boss” energy, describing her as having a “masculine energy”.

Marshall said from the get-go, she could see “red flags” and wasn’t surprised by her TV groom reaction, but refused to shrink herself to make him at ease.

Having been on the show for only two episodes, the couple has already been making headlines as Gordon continues to display his polarising personality, with more drama hinted at in the next dinner party.
