Eight keynote speakers have been announced for the upcoming AREC event, featuring discussions on the essential strategies agents need to build successful careers.
The Australasian Real Estate Conference (AREC) has revealed its first eight speakers for its upcoming two-day learning event, featuring leading agents, performance coaches and authors.
Held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on Sunday, 24 May and Monday, 25 May, this year’s event will focus on giving agents the practical insights they need to drive growth.
According to AREC founder, John McGrath, the real estate sector is facing increasing challenges, with agents needing to sharpen the fundamentals while embracing new growth opportunities.
“AREC is exactly the kind of event that helps our industry step back, reflect, and come away with strategies they can implement immediately,” McGrath said.
Eight speakers have made up the first keynote presenters confirmed for AREC26, with additional announcements to follow.
Internationally recognised US agents Josh Altman and Josh Flagg, both known for their appearances on Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, will headline the event, representing California’s prestigious luxury properties.
Altman, who ranks in the top 1 per cent of agents globally and has sold over $9 billion in his career, including more than $5.2 billion since 2021, will discuss his experience in the luxury market and the strategies that have helped him succeed.
Flagg, one of the youngest agents ever to achieve recognition in the prestige market, will appear in a Q&A with John McGrath, speaking on his approach to client relationships, reputation-based business, and marketing.
Additionally, US real estate agent Tim Smith, head of Tim Smith Real Estate Group at Coldwell Banker, will discuss his experience with strategic marketing and skill negotiations.
Performance strategist, Phill Nosworthy, will deliver two sessions on career acceleration, high performance and leadership development.
Entrepreneur, endurance athlete, and bestselling author Jesse Itzler will join virtually to share his experience partnering with global brands and redefining personal performance.
Holly Ransom, an internationally recognised speaker, will encourage attendees to rethink how leadership, communication, and influence are evolving in modern business.
The AREC26 program will also feature a virtual appearance by Alison Wood Brooks, a researcher in negotiation, communication, and the psychology of conversation, discussing how agents can manage complex transactions and client conversations.
Additionally, Ben Crowe, a high-performance mentor, will explore the mindset agents need to unblock their full potential, navigating pressure, competition and growth.
According to McGrath, AREC26 was an investment in agents’ own performance and helped them build a lasting career.
“Two days can change the trajectory of your business. The stories, the learnings, the people you meet can be immeasurable – that’s the real value,” he said.
Head of Total Real Estate Training and the organiser of AREC, Izzy Savva, said after listening to agents in the current market, it was clear that focusing on core skills was essential to building sustainable careers.
“AREC is designed to focus on what really drives success in real estate: client relationships, negotiation, listing mastery, and personal growth,” Savva said.
Domain has additionally been named as AREC26’s headline partner, with the two organisations sharing a focus on helping agents perform at their best.
