FOUNDIT has announced the appointment of a new chairman, strengthening its leadership as it looks to accelerate its expansion across key markets.
The property platform has appointed Nick Dowling as its newest chairman to reinforce the brand’s governance framework.
Dowling brings more than two decades of directorial experience to the role, having held leadership positions in banking, sport, and real estate, including his current role as chairman at Jellis Craig.
FOUNDIT co-founder Angus Ferguson said that Dowling’s appointment followed internal discussions about the platform's scale and structure.
“When we first sat down with Nick, we were seeking advice on growth, positioning and how to build something sustainable,” Ferguson said.
“It quickly became clear we shared a belief that the buyer side of the industry is entering a more mature phase, and that growth needs to be supported by strong governance and clear standards.”
Dowling said he would provide additional support as the platform accelerates its expansion.
“There is clear momentum in the buyer-focused segment of the market,” Dowling said.
“The combination of experienced operators, intelligent technology and formal governance creates a strong foundation for sustainable growth.”
As the platform continues to expand nationally, Ferguson said its focus remains on utilising experienced operators and supporting them with infrastructure.
“Our ambition is to back high-performing agents with the structure and brand presence that allows them to scale confidently.
“We are building a national framework that supports professional operators who want to grow their business within a disciplined and well-structured environment,” Ferguson concluded.
Dowling’s appointment marked the platform’s second leadership-focused addition to start the year, having appointed Thomas Georgiou as national head of buyer’s agent services back in February.
