A husband and wife team have taken the next step in their career, launching their own independent business with One Agency on NSW’s Central Coast.

A new agency has launched on NSW’s Central Coast, with a husband-and-wife duo to operate a former family-run office, now named One Agency Matt & Ursula Smith.

One Agency founder and CEO Paul Davies said the duo’s proven track record and commitment to the Central Coast community ensured they had a solid foundation to grow their business.

“This is what our model was designed for – to empower agents like Matt and Ursula to build their own independent business while leveraging the support and strength of our international brand,” he said.

With 20 years of industry experience, One Agency said principal and licensed real estate agent Matt Smith was known for his straightforward communication and local knowledge.

Similarly, it said business partner and sales agent Ursula Smith brought quality customer service and dedication to guiding clients through buying, selling and investing.

According to Matt, joining the group was a natural choice due to the freedom the franchising model provided and the family culture across the network.

“The flexibility it provides allows us to step away from the old, one-size-fits-all approach and truly tailor our business to the specific needs of our clients,” he said.

The new agency will focus on suburbs including Kanwal, Wyongah, Woongarrah, Lake Haven, Charmhaven and Wallarah.

The network said Matt and Ursula both had a deep connection to the region, with Matt having grown up in the area and witnessed its evolution, while Ursula relocated from Sydney over 25 years ago.

It said their community mindset was shown by their support of various initiatives, including at local schools and the non-profit charity, Her Cave, a local women-led support group.

In addition, One Agency said they both understood the unique appeal of the Central Coast, with the diverse property landscape ranging from modern waterfront residences to classic coastal holiday homes.

According to Matt, the region was becoming increasingly popular with various types of home buyers, ranging from young families to downsizers.

“When you consider the average price in Sydney compared to up here, it’s an attractive choice for many,” he said.
