A global prestige real estate agency has established a foothold in the NSW market, appointing a leadership team and a dozen agents as a foundation for its expansion.
Christie’s International Real Estate has launched its services in NSW’s prestige property market, led by CEO Scott Michaelson.
Michaelson brings more than 25 years of real estate investment experience and leadership, having co-founded a real estate services platform.
Michaelson will be supported by the head of sales and growth, Byron Selling, and the head of operations, Andrew Byrne, as well as sales agents across Sydney, the Central Coast, Newcastle, and the South Coast.
The recent NSW expansion adds to the network’s current Australian presence, which operates in Victoria, Western Australia, and South Australia, as well as in more than 50 other countries worldwide.
As an affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, the business would leverage the network’s national and international base of buyers.
Michaelson said that NSW had seen a significant increase in premium properties, with many global investors considering the state as a “safe haven”.
“It‘s an appetite that’s largely driven by our quality of life and economic stability,” Michaelson said.
“For sellers, we’re also seeing strong appeal to align with an internationally known name in premium real estate and global sales.”
Christie’s International Real Estate managing director EMEA and APAC, Helena Moyas de Forton, said Michaelson and his team would play a significant role in growing the brand’s presence in the Australian property market.
“NSW is the heartbeat of the Australian luxury property market and an important destination for us as we continue to grow our brand and network across Asia-Pacific,” Moyas de Forton concluded.
