A second-generation auctioneer and sales trainer will bet on his double skill set to craft effective auction campaigns from start to finish, following his appointment with Apollo.
Apollo Auctions Australasia has appointed Marcus Frater as auctioneer and sales trainer, bringing industry experience across Brisbane and the Greater Ipswich region.
In the role, Frater will work closely with Apollo’s national and international team of auctioneers, contributing to training initiatives, campaign strategy, and delivery across Queensland.
According to Apollo, Frater had a reputation for practical execution, clear communication, and a hands-on approach to guiding both agents and sellers through the auction process.
As a second-generation auctioneer, Apollo said Frater grew up around the craft, enabling him to develop an understanding of auction dynamics early in life.
Valuing the importance of consistency, preparation, and connection, Apollo also said Frater’s dual focus as an auctioneer and sales trainer made him an asset throughout the entire campaign lifecycle.
The group’s general manager, Greg Brydon, said Frater was equipped with a grounded understanding of the process required to deliver effective campaigns in Brisbane.
“He’s built his reputation on doing the fundamentals exceptionally well – and that aligns perfectly with how we operate at Apollo,” he said.
Brydon also said Frater’s addition demonstrated the company’s continued expansion across Queensland and its commitment to supporting agents with the right tools and training.
“What excites us most is the runway ahead. With the platform, systems, and support Apollo provides, Marcus is in a position to accelerate his growth and make a significant impact across Queensland,” he said.
Apollo Auctions director, Justin Nickerson, said Marcus had the right mindset for the job, understanding his duties extended beyond the call on auction day.
“It’s about influencing the campaign, guiding agents, and delivering confidence to vendors. Marcus already demonstrates those qualities,” he said.
Similarly, Frater said he was committed to delivering value across the entire campaign while continuing to grow his skill set and helping both agents and vendors achieve the best possible outcomes.
“Joining Apollo feels like a natural next step. Working alongside a team that operates at this level every day is exactly where I want to be,” he concluded.
