Place Estate Agents has expanded into Ipswich, with a well-established local real estate business rebranding as Place Ipswich, marking a strategic move into one of Southeast Queensland’s fastest-growing markets.
The Ipswich office will sit within Place Purpose Group, expanding the group’s footprint to nine offices across Brisbane’s western and northern growth corridors.
Place Purpose Group CEO Robbie Lofaro said the expansion reflects the scale and consistency of demand emerging across the Ipswich market.
“Ipswich has moved well beyond an emerging market; it’s now one of the most important growth corridors in Southeast Queensland,” Mr Lofaro said.
“You’ve got population growth at scale, a significant affordability advantage compared to Brisbane, and a long-term development pipeline that continues to support demand.”
“With nearly 50,000 homes planned in growth areas like Ripley Valley, Ipswich is playing a critical role in delivering housing for the region.”
Latest Place Advisory research reveals Ipswich is now Queensland’s fastest growing city, with a population exceeding 270,000 after adding 10,000 residents in the past year and 30,000 over four years.
The region continues to attract strong buyer interest, underpinned by a $300,000 to $400,000 price gap compared to Brisbane and house price growth of up to 100 per cent over five years.
Mr Lofaro said the expansion strengthens Place’s ability to service buyers and sellers across the western corridor.
“This is about being positioned in a market that is growing quickly and sustainably,” he said.
“We’re seeing strong demand from both owner-occupiers and investors who understand the long-term opportunity Ipswich presents.”
The Ipswich team will include established local agents and property managers, including well-known local real estate professionals Glenn Ball and Helene Shephard.
Place CEO Damian Hackett said Ipswich’s growth reflects a broader change in buyer behaviour across Southeast Queensland.
“Buyers are making more deliberate decisions around lifestyle, affordability and long-term value,” Mr Hackett said.
“Locations like Ipswich offer proximity to Brisbane, but with significantly more accessibility from a pricing perspective.”
Place Ipswich is located at 48 Warwick Rd, Ipswich, and will service the broader Ipswich region and surrounding growth corridors.
