A new agency in Melbourne’s inner-city market will give RT Edgar greater capacity to serve young professionals and lifestyle-focused buyers, as demand in the prestige market increases.

RT Edgar has announced the opening of its first physical office in Richmond, in Melbourne’s inner-city property market, following the launch of the business late last year.

Along with the new office, the agency has expanded its services to include leasing and property management, enabling the team to support clients at every stage of the journey.

RT Edgar Richmond director, James Vine, said the move would give the team a stronger on-the-ground presence and allow them to continue building long-term relationships.

“It’s been incredibly rewarding to see the business grow so quickly in such a competitive market,” he said.

According to the network, there was increasing demand for premium inner-city living, particularly among young professionals, owner-occupiers, and lifestyle-driven buyers.

Vine said the area had an attractive lifestyle offering, proximity to the city, and a strong sense of community, with ready-to-move-in properties seeing the most demand.

“Buyers are increasingly time-poor, and homes that have been thoughtfully prepared are generally generating stronger engagement and competition,” he said.

RT Edgar directors Jeremy Fox, Warwick Anderson, and Michael Ebeling said the early success of the Richmond office showed the strength of the local market and of Vine’s leadership.

“James has built a strong presence in Richmond in a relatively short period of time,” they said.

“His understanding of the market, work ethic, and client-focused approach have been instrumental in establishing the office and building momentum so quickly,” the directors concluded.
