Two seasoned agents have returned to Western Australia’s south-west to launch their own business, continuing the legacy of a Professionals office as they drive growth in a booming region.
Professionals has relaunched its Mandurah office, in Perth’s Peel region, with co-principals Vicki Bredendeck and Sharon Anderson taking the reins.
The announcement came as Mandurah has continued to boom, with Cotality data showing it had grown 28.4 per cent over the 12 months to May, reaching a median dwelling value of $918,016.
According to the network, the pair first worked together at Professionals Mandurah under the leadership of Laurie Hird, before his retirement.
They later pursued separate opportunities within the local property market before reuniting to launch their own business, continuing the legacy of Professionals Mandurah.
Having previously spent multiple years working at the agency, Bredendeck said that the pair opening their own office under the brand was a natural choice.
“At first, we looked at starting the business independently, but the support, marketing power and reputation of the Professionals brand made it the right fit for us,” Bredendeck said.
Additionally, she said the agency’s appeal came from the fact that every member of the team contributed to making the brand stronger, as opposed to agents simply being treated as a number.
Bredendeck added that they intended to build the business with longevity, rather than chasing short-term market conditions, having both worked through the tough cycles.
“Properties are achieving strong results, but for us, it’s never about making a quick sale. It’s about offering a high level of service, doing the best thing for the client and building long-term trust,” she said.
According to Anderson, the strength of the local rental market and ongoing demand were creating substantial opportunities for growth, with interest from investors, upgraders and lifestyle-driven buyers.
“We’re already seeing strong word-of-mouth referrals from previous clients, and we’re building relationships with other Professionals offices as well,” she said.
Professionals CEO Sean Hanneberry said the pair’s combined expertise across sales and property management, along with their strong community connections, positioned them for long-term success.
He added the network’s continued presence in the region was pivotal to its success, with Western Australia remaining one of the brand’s strongest markets.
“Professionals has a deep history and strong community presence across Western Australia, and Mandurah has been an important part of our history and presence in the state,” Hanneberry concluded.
