A luxury real estate brand has launched in Canberra, prepared to service the capital and its surrounds amid growing demand for prestige properties in the region.
Sotheby’s International Realty has launched in Canberra, servicing Australia’s capital and the broader region with residential sales, prestige marketing and property management services.
Led by director and licensed agent Alexander Smout, the network said the agency will also cover architecturally designed homes, family homes, investment properties, and rural lifestyle holdings.
Smout said the decision to establish Sotheby’s International Realty’s Canberra arm was driven by the sophistication of the local market and the growing demand for premium representation.
He said Canberra was no longer viewed solely as a government town, but rather, a diverse and desirable market, attracting professionals, diplomats, entrepreneurs, investors and families.
