A former Ray White real estate agent who stashed almost $1 million in illicit drugs and cash at her Port Melbourne home has pleaded guilty.
A former real estate agent has fronted court for trafficking illicit drugs from her home and a rental storage unit, with almost $1 million in cocaine, methamphetamine and cash seized.
Tegan Miller, 30, appeared at the County Court of Victoria after pleading guilty to charges of trafficking in a commercial quantity of drugs and recklessly dealing with proceeds of crime, according to the Herald Sun.
The mother of two previously worked for Ray White, Century 21, and Pennisi Real Estate.
On 11 October 2023, police arrived at Miller’s apartment to search the premises, finding ziplock bags, an ice pipe, scales, cash and mobile phones in her bedroom and in an underground garage.
The court heard that 1151.4 grams of methamphetamine, 135g of cocaine and 52.9g of MDMA, with an estimated street value of nearly $400,000 were seized by police.
Among other items seized were $519,016 in cash, blank Victoria driver’s licences, a money counting machine, Medicare and bank cards in other people’s names.
Police also found an identity printing machine, envelopes containing $400,000, several penalty notices and a tick book.
According to Miller’s lawyer, Miller had been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and had suffered extreme anxiety since a February 2022 home invasion.
Prosecutor Trevor Wallwork said Miller’s offending and moral culpability were very serious given the quantity of drugs and cash found.
Miller was remanded in custody and will be sentenced on 30 June.
