Two professionals with 20 years of industry experience are set to join CBRE’s Victorian office in a bid to bolster state and national office leasing capabilities, following their appointments.

CBRE has appointed James Palmer and Nick Drake to its Victorian office leasing business in a bid to boost its service offerings to clients.

Palmer has been appointed as regional director of office leasing, with his role including both a local and national focus.

The network said Palmer joined from JLL, bringing 20 years of project leasing experience acting on behalf of large domestic and offshore institutional landlords, developers, and investors.

Meanwhile, Drake has been appointed as joint head of office leasing in Victoria.

Similarly, Drake also transitioned from JLL, bringing two decades of expertise in the commercial office space, with skills across project and development leasing.

CBRE said Drake had acted for both private and institutional landlords throughout the Melbourne CBD, Docklands, and Southbank markets.

According to the network, the pair played major roles over the past decade, securing tenants for many of Melbourne’s key commercial developments.

CBRE’s head of office leasing, Pacific, Tim Courtnall, said the hires would further strengthen the firm’s client offering in Victoria and its national leasing platform.

“James and Nick have exceptional reputations in the market, and these appointments are part of our commitment to investing in quality talent,” Courtnall said.

“Their addition to the CBRE Office Leasing team further strengthens the depth and capability of our client offering in Victoria.”
