A new office will service a coastal region in Queensland’s north, with two local co-principals at the helm, betting on the region’s lifestyle appeal and long-term growth prospects.

McGrath Estate Agents has announced the opening of its new office on Queensland’s Redcliffe Peninsula, led by co-principals Harrison McIndoe and Jonathan Kolesczar.

The business will service seven coastal suburbs, including Redcliffe, Margate, Clontarf, Kippa Ring, Newport, Scarborough and Woody Point.

McGrath head of franchise, Chris Mourd, said McIndoe and Koleszar were local operators who had built reputations for delivering solid results and service.

“We are delighted to welcome McGrath Redcliffe as our presence strengthens across one of Australia’s fastest-growing regions,” Mourd said.

McIndoe, a former Redcliffe Dolphins rugby player, said buyers were drawn to the area seeking a coastal lifestyle within commuting distance of Brisbane’s business district.

“The ongoing demand for premium waterfront stock supports credible growth in the area. Values across most of the peninsula have grown at double-digit rates over the past year,” McIndoe said.

He said the market’s desirability had particularly been boosted by the development of a rail line into Brisbane CBD and investment at Redcliffe Hospital.

“Then there is a broader confidence building across South-East Queensland ahead of the 2032 Games. The region has a real momentum behind it,” he said.

Koleszar said the area was yet to boom, with its lifestyle factor, proximity to Brisbane and new infrastructure seeing quality family homes still selling strongly, despite a recent slowdown.

“It’s just the days on market that have stretched out over the past few months. Here on the peninsula, I feel we’re heading back to a normal market,” he said.

In addition to McIndoe and Koleszar, Camilla Forsey and Fiona Cardow Moraes have also joined the McGrath Redcliffe sales team.

McIndoe said Redcliffe had strong market fundamentals and long-term growth potential, with more than $1.7 billion in annual sales activity across the broader community.

“This, combined with a diverse mix of suburbs and emerging areas, creates a compelling opportunity for growth and market share.”
