A local agent will leverage her referral network and established connections across Brisbane Bayside markets, following her appointment with Place.
Place Woolloongabba has announced the appointment of Melissa Brown to its sales team, bringing more than 10 years of real estate experience.
In her new role, she will specialise in Tingalpa and Bayside sales, using her referral network and long-term client relationships across Brisbane, while fostering connections with vendors.
According to the network, Brown brought strong people skills, having worked for a total of 25 years in customer-facing roles across hospitality, retail and property.
Brown said sellers didn’t just need an agent to help sell a home, but to tell them the truth and ensure effective communication, keeping them updated throughout the sales process.
“A lot of my work now comes from past clients and referrals, which tells me people felt looked after,” she said.
Brown added that her knowledge of Tingalpa and the surrounding markets will give her a point of difference.
“Buyers ask about the everyday things – schools, traffic, where their kids will play sport, what the community is like. That’s the stuff you can’t get from a property portal,” she said.
Place Woolloongabba co-director, James Curtain, said Brown’s customer-service background made her a natural fit for the business.
“She’s got the local knowledge, but she’s also calm, direct and genuinely invested in getting a good result for her clients. That’s a very good combination in this business.”
Brown said she believed Place would provide the right platform for the next stage of her business, enabling her to keep building without losing the personal side of her role.
“The marketing, leadership, support, and people around the office give me more to offer clients, while still being the person they deal with from beginning to end.”
