The commercial network has returned to Tasmania, launching two dual-brand offices in partnership with McGrath Estate Agents.
The two dual-brand offices, located in Hobart and Launceston, will be led by existing McGrath franchisee Josh Hart.
The Hobart office is an entirely new venture for the brands in Tasmania, while Launceston is a rebrand of an existing McGrath branch.
Hart said the offices would provide a range of services across both residential and commercial real estate, leveraging the confidence in their respective brands.
“Our dual-brand offices in Tasmania will bring enormous value to the local community and clients, with the ability to leverage networks and expertise right around Australia, as well as internationally,” Hart said.
“The appetite for both residential and commercial property in Tasmania is huge, but with limited supply and property being tightly held, we are seeing strong growth.”
He said the launch of the dual-brand offices would continue to strengthen McGrath’s presence in the residential property market, following the recent appointment of a new lead agent and further plans to grow its teams.
Knight Frank CEO James Patterson said the return to Tasmania was a major milestone for the commercial real estate network.
“Knight Frank has a strong brand and long history in Tasmania, with a franchise that operated for 27 years, and we have been committed to returning to the state once again,” Patterson said.
“We will now again offer the full suite of property services in Tasmania via an office in collaboration with our valued partner McGrath.”
With buyer demand in Tasmania surging across residential homes over the past year, McGrath CEO John McGrath said the offices were well positioned to service the shifting property market.
He said the state’s property market had demonstrated resilience amid slowing conditions while showcasing the opportunities available.
“The sophisticated market trends now evident in Hobart and Launceston, alongside strong tourism growth, underscore a renewed, broader confidence in Tasmania,” McGrath said.
Following the launch, the number of dual-brand offices between the networks has grown to seven, with a Newcastle office opening in July.
