A real estate professional with a property finance and business background has joined a REMAX office to service Perth’s south.
REMAX Extreme has appointed Paul Ayris as sales associate, servicing Perth’s southern suburbs from the network’s Cannington office.
Following his recent career shift to real estate, Ayris has brought experience in property finance, sales, negotiation and business ownership, having built a brokerage business where he oversaw 36 brokers.
He said real estate felt like the right path to pursue, given he was an ambitious person with a longstanding interest in property.
“I want to build something substantial and I see real estate as an opportunity to establish myself and create something that continues to grow,” he said.
Despite being relatively new to real estate sales, Ayris said his experience of working closely with homeowners through property transactions gave him a unique edge.
“For much of my career, I was working with and advocating for buyers through the finance side of a property transaction. Now I’m bringing that experience and expertise to sellers,” he said.
“Understanding what buyers are thinking, what their concerns are and what may be driving their decisions gives me another perspective when I’m negotiating on behalf of a seller.”
Ayris added that he understood the financial aspect of property and the importance of relationships in the industry.
He also said he was drawn to REMAX’s entrepreneurial model as it provided the opportunity to build his own career while operating under an established and recognised brand.
“I like that agents are encouraged to think like business owners,” he said.
“I wanted to give myself the opportunity and freedom to build my career as an agent, while having the support, systems and credibility of a strong network behind me,” Ayris concluded.
