A local professional will service a region in NSW’s south-east following his appointment with PRD, as the area’s long-term prospects continue to drive buyer confidence.

PRD has announced the appointment of local agent Adam Heading to its Queanbeyan office in south-eastern NSW.

PRD Queanbeyan office manager, Martina Woodford, said Heading had built a strong reputation throughout the region for his honest approach, market knowledge and commitment to building long-term relationships.

“Those qualities align strongly with our values and the level of service we aim to provide,” she said.

Woodford added that the decision to expand the agency’s sales capability reflected growing demand for experienced professionals who can advise clients in an increasingly challenging market.

"While the market remains active, buyers today are approaching decisions differently. They're seeking transparency, strong communication and genuine local knowledge from the professionals they work with," she said.

PRD managing director, Todd Hadley, said the network's growth strategy was based on attracting respected local operators.

He said successful regional markets depended on having the right people on the ground who understood their communities and could provide informed, practical advice.

"Adam's appointment strengthens PRD Queanbeyan's ability to deliver local expertise backed by the resources, research and support of a national network,” he said.

According to Heading, purchasers were taking a more calculated approach to property decisions than in previous years, despite sustained demand.

"We're seeing buyers become more considered with their decisions. They're taking the time to do their research, compare options and focus on value rather than rushing into purchases," he said.

"Demand remains strong, particularly as housing supply remains constrained across the region, but buyers are more informed and selective than they have been in the past."

Heading said the area had solid future growth prospects, with more than $544 million in residential, mixed-use and infrastructure projects expected to commence throughout 2026.

He said he looked forward to continuing to help buyers and sellers navigate the opportunities emerging across the Queanbeyan market.

"Queanbeyan offers a compelling long-term proposition for buyers. The combination of ongoing investment, lifestyle appeal and connectivity to Canberra continues to support confidence in the local market," he said.
