Hundreds of agents across six agency groups have completed a four-week national competition, with 37 winners gathering in Brisbane for a day of insights from rugby league coach Michael Maguire and leading real estate figures, followed by an evening celebration.

Ray White Upper North Shore took the overall office crown in real estate’s version of The Amazing Race, while Harris Real Estate’s Carly Frost finished as the highest-ranked individual with 22 sales and a combined score of 86.70.

The competition brought together agents from Place Estate Agents, McGrath (West, Northwest, Hills, Hawkesbury), Harris Real Estate, Ray White (Upper North Shore & Northern Beaches), Coastal and Lifestyle.

Across the month, participants recorded 1,182 listings, competing across sales, listings, new business, GCI and REA MVP activity.

Harris Real Estate’s Sam Wigg said the categories recognised different strengths.

“Great agents build business in different ways. Recognising listings, sales and new business gives more people a target to chase and rewards more than one big transaction.”

Frost’s overall win was followed by Place’s Heath Williams in second and Lifestyle’s Tarym Wright in third.

Williams recorded the highest individual total sales value, while Wright led REA MVP activity with 42 points. McGrath’s Amit Nayak topped listings with 20, and Coastal’s Brent Martens led new business with 70.

The overall office title was calculated on points per active agent, with Ray White Upper North Shore finishing on 11.64, ahead of McGrath on 10.78 and Coastal on 10.60.

Ray White Upper North Shore’s David Walker said the office competition gave agents a shared goal.

“Every agent’s contribution counted towards the office result. That gave our people a reason to back each other, share advice and work towards a win as a team.”

McGrath’s Kon Stathopoulos said the national format gave agents a broader benchmark.

“Being a top performer in your own office is one thing. Seeing how you measure up across six groups helps you recognise your strengths and where you can improve.”

Lifestyle’s David Gray said the four-week format rewarded sustained effort.

“Twelve weeks gives agents time to build better habits, rather than chase a quick result. The goal is to keep that discipline going once the competition ends.”

For the winners, the competition finished in Brisbane with insights from rugby league coach Michael Maguire on elite sport and leadership, an industry panel at Place HQ and an evening celebration.

Coastal’s Dane Atherton said bringing the winners together put practical knowledge on the table.

“The value is in asking another agent how they won that listing or handled a difficult negotiation. Those specific conversations give people ideas they can use with their own clients.”

Place Estate Agents’ Damian Hackett said the winners’ program was designed to give top performers something valuable beyond a place on the leaderboard.

“In our second year, we wanted the reward to count. Hearing from Madge and industry leaders gave winners fresh advice on leading teams, handling pressure and improving their performance.”
