McGrath has expanded to a popular market in Brisbane’s bayside region, which is drawing interest from interstate buyers and other relocators for its lifestyle appeal.

McGrath Estate Agents has announced a new office in Brisbane’s Redland City region, with principal Alex Tincknell at the helm.

Located south-east of Brisbane’s central business district, McGrath Redlands will service Redland Bay, Cleveland, Wellington Point, Victoria Point, Thornlands, and surrounding bayside communities.

Tincknell’s wife, Taylor, will oversee the agency’s financial operations, with the pair having been lifelong residents of the region and previously having operated a family business.

Tincknell said he was drawn to McGrath after meeting CEO John McGrath and finding that the brand shared his expectations around integrity, professionalism and service.

“I also wanted to align with a brand that embraces growth, innovation and performance.”

McGrath head of franchise, Chris Mourd, said Tincknell had built his reputation in the Redlands market through hard work, consistency and a connection to the community.

“What impressed us most was the high standards he sets for his business and the way he looks after his clients,” he said.

“We're looking forward to supporting Alex and the team as they continue to grow."

The network said Redland City was a diverse housing market, including luxury waterfront residences, family homes, acreage properties and low-rise apartment living.

According to Tincknell, the market benefitted from a bayside lifestyle without the high-rise development seen in other coastal locations.

He said residents were drawn to the area for its waterfront setting, community spirit, schools and relaxed lifestyle, with particular interest from families, professionals, downsizers and retirees.

“Our growth has been driven by demand from buyers relocating from Brisbane, Logan and interstate who want more space and a bayside lifestyle,” Tincknell said.

"Importantly, once people move here, they tend to stay. That speaks to the quality of life and the strength of the local community.”
