RealtyAssist has expanded its finance tools for property owners, giving agents and property managers more opportunities to support clients and stand out in the slower market.
Financial technology platform RealtyAssist has announced a suite of new finance solutions to help agents and property managers support property owners at every stage of selling.
While RealtyAssist was originally designed to give vendors a way to fund a property’s marketing, the new features include options to help landlords cover rental expenses and assist sellers with their move.
The four new tools, Rental+, VPA+, VPA, and Equity+, were designed to help agents provide better support to owners throughout the entire property cycle.
The platform helps home owners navigate unexpected repairs, strategise before selling, achieve greater flexibility around their marketing campaign, or work out how to fund their next move.
RealtyAssist CEO Tom Kellaway said agencies increasingly needed new ways of demonstrating value to support clients beyond the standard property transaction.
“One way they can do that is by helping property owners and rental providers solve more of the financial challenges they encounter throughout the property journey,” he said.
“We want to help agencies be there for more of those moments.”
According to the company, the Rental+ feature gave eligible property owners an alternative way to fund repairs, maintenance, compliance-related works, special levies and eligible improvements.
Repayments come out of the monthly rental income, allowing property managers to refer owners to the finance option when something unexpected arises.
Through the VPA tool, eligible vendors will have access to options to fund property marketing expenses, giving agencies and their clients greater flexibility around the campaign.
Further, with VPA+, vendors can use additional funds for a broader range of expenses, including pre-sale costs before a property reaches the market.
Additionally, with Equity+, once a property is under an unconditional contract, home owners can use equity from the property they are selling to help fund their next property, including relocation costs or other major expenses.
RealtyAssist head of product and growth Luke Kenyon said property owners faced various challenges throughout the property journey.
Kenyon said agencies often took on multiple tasks, including managing investment properties, helping owners prepare it for sale, taking it to market and supporting clients with their move.
“Providing agencies with a broader range of support to give them a competitive edge is at the forefront of our strategic thinking,” he said.
“We’re looking for more ways to strengthen the relationship between the agent and property owner.”
