Making headlines this week, The Sunday Mail (Qld) reported that real estate agents are increasingly finding value in iPhone applications and other innovations to market their property listings.

According to the daily, George Hadgelias of Ray White Paddington in Brisbane, said agents were trying to be more creative, using a property's full features for maximum impact on prospective buyers.

Music video clips, iPhone applications and Facebook pages, were just some of the innovations currently being employed by agents, Mr Hadgelias said.

"If we are marketing a property with a home theatre or media room we will have live concert videos playing during our opens," he said.

Mr Hadgelias told the daily that video was a useful marking tool.

"Many homes on our listings can be viewed via an online video tour," he said.

RE/MAX principal Chris Hinds told the daily that as a Gen Y-er, he often produces video clips on sale properties, particularly for upmarket properties.

"Inner city property is prestigious and should be marketed like fashion or cars," Mr Hinds said.
