FHBs look to the inner city

Potential first home buyers should look at the inner city housing for property bargains, according to RP Data.

While the prices for detached housing in the middle and outer ring suburbs continue to climb, RPData’s national research director Tim Lawless said first home buyers can still find bargains in the inner city and city fringe unit and dwelling markets.

“The price points for these dwellings are generally more affordable and the lifestyle elements of living closer to the city tend to suit the younger buyers,” Mr Lawless told Real Estate Business.
