Homebuyers can now access the latest market developments directly from their phone with the release of Australia’s first real estate app for Android devices.

Starr Partners has become the first real estate franchise to enter the developing market of smartphone applications for Android devices.

According to the real estate's chief executive officer Douglas Driscol, home buyers are better informed about the market than ever before and real estate agents are refining their market strategies to meet changing expectations.

“We are encouraging agents to use new technology to provide buyers, investors and renters with the most current information,” he said.

Looking to build on the success of the iPhone app released at the beginning of the New Year, the latest app available for Android devices looks to keep buyers, investors and tenants better informed about market trends and the latest developments.

"The Starr Partners Apps for iPhone and Android devices were developed with the aim of providing a valuable tool that customers could use while on the go,"

"The App allows users to browse properties for sale and lease using GPS, postcode or suburb searches.”
