TV star sells island home

Rebecca Gibney has sold her Tasmanian home for more than $1 million, real estate sources have confirmed.

The Packed to the Rafters star purchased the property with husband Richard Bell in 2002.

The couple moved into the rural retreat for four years following the birth of their son, with Gibney admitting she relocated for a simpler life with her new family.

The four-bedroom, three bathroom ‘River Point House’ is set on over 14 acres of picturesque land located just north of Launceston on the Tamar River at Kayena and boasts a library and in-floor heating.

Gibney moved her family to Sydney's Northern Beaches after getting the gig on the family favourite TV show.
