A free CRM system specifically designed for Australia-based real estate agents has been launched.

"Free Real Estate CRM has been developed after many years of experience developing custom-built solutions for the real estate industry and other sectors,” said Sujit Shah, technical director at LakeSide IT, the developer of the new software.

“There are many generic CRM packages out there but they fail to address the needs of this industry,” he said.

Lakeside IT is a private self-funded IT development company.

Mr Shah said the new software can be run from any computer, and allows agents to maintain a database of their buyers and sellers, set their motivation levels, categorise them into profiles, contact groups, log their correspondence and store their requirements.

It also includes an inbuilt word processor with mail merge functions.

“The free version has no record or time limits and provides an advanced tool to quickly import client information from other databases," Mr Shah said.

“There are also special provisions built into the application to ensure the agent is ACMA (Australian Communications and Media Authority) compliant when communicating with their clients.

“The application is available in both desktop and cloud versions.”

Mr Shah added that upgrade options were also available from the main product site at www.fortuna.com.au, and starting early next year agents will be able to access their data from an iPad, iPhone and Android mobile devices.

The company said the product is only available for real estate agents in Australia.
