A new iPhone app that brings together up-to-date sales, auction results and median prices, along with the ability to search for properties, has been launched by realestateVIEW.com.au.

“Our app sources data from our industry associations, making it the first real estate app to be developed by the industry for consumers,” said Petra Sprekos, general manager at realestateVIEW.com.au.

“House hunters can now access industry data to research properties and make informed decisions on the fly.”

The free app will provide daily updates of the latest sales and auction results in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Tasmania. The latest quarterly and annual median prices will also be provided to users looking for property in these states.

realestateVIEW.com.au said the app can also be used as a planner, allowing users to "check in" to properties and keep track of the homes visited, as well as to plan the house hunting journey.

The realestateVIEW.com.au iPhone app can be downloaded for free from the iTunes store.

The company added that the Android version of the app is planned for release in December.
