The best real estate professionals in Queensland have overcome floods and a lacklustre economy to be included in a group of around 50 finalists for next year’s Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ) Awards for Excellence.
“Agencies and agents across the state had to utilise every ounce of their skills and professionalism this year to make a sale and sometimes to ensure their business remained viable,” said REIQ managing director Dan Molloy.
“In the face of these trying circumstances, this year’s finalists deserve to be applauded not only for their tenacity but for recognising that even a difficult year can have a silver lining.”
This year’s finalists, who are competing for 14 awards, come from across South East Queensland as well as Toowoomba, Fraser Coast, Gladstone, Townsville and Cairns. Individual and agency winners will automatically progress into the 2012 National Awards for Excellence in Darwin in March next year.
Winners will be announced at the 2012 REIQ Awards for Excellence gala event on Friday 10 February at the Sofitel Brisbane.
Finalists for the 2012 REIQ Auctioneer of the Year will be announced in December.
