Can you imagine telling potential clients and customers you don't use fax or email?

According to Todd Breen of Home Property Management, a specialist property management business based in Palm Beach, Florida, this is the way of the future.

“Fax and email are new technologies that were developed in our generation and customers have come to expect them,” he told Real Estate Business, ahead of his forthcoming appearance at the Leading Property Managers of Australia (LPMA) 2012 Forum.

“However, mobile technology is becoming the new frontier, and as the world goes from working at their desk to being completely mobile, what are principals doing to be prepared?

“The world is changing more rapidly now than ever before, and it's up to us to adapt - or lose market share to those who do. Whether a principal is a 'techie' or not, successful companies have a plan to incorporate emerging trends into their business model. Why? Because both prospective and existing customers demand it from us.”

Mr Breen is a pioneer in the use of video in property management and is a leading authority on the topic of real estate video marketing.

“I'm passionate about creating easy ways to use emerging technologies to save time and generate more profits,” he said.

“Many of us can remember when we had to change to adapt our business to accommodate the internet and Google, and YouTube is truly the NEW frontier.”

Mr Breen will be presenting two keynote sessions, "Running a Rent Roll from Under a Palm Tree" and "Making More Money from Video in Property Management", at the forthcoming LPMA 2012 conference on Queensland's Gold Coast.

The LPMA 2012 Annual Forum will be held at Jupiter's Hotel and Casino from Thursday 26 April – Friday 27 April 2012 and is open to all industry practitioners across Australia and New Zealand.

“LPMA was conceived with a clear mission - to give the Australian property management industry annual forums to learn, share ideas and grow our own and our industry’s successes. It’s about real people who’ve developed real strategies for success in their businesses sharing them with their colleagues,” executive director of the LPMA, Bob Walters, said.

“Every session will deliver practical 'take back to the office' messages to improve business and individual performance.

"The networking and social opportunities will also assist to foster long-term associations and trusting relationships.”
